From 4th April 2022, all Landlords are obliged to register each tenancy with the Residential Tenancies Board annually, even if the tenancy hasn’t changed. This must be completed within one month of the anniversary of when the tenancy began, in order to avoid late fees. A transitional period applies from 4th April to 3rd July 2022, after which late fees will accumulate for every month that a Landlord is late in registering a tenancy.
